Hello wonderful residents of The Oasis,
Another month has gone by and it sure is heating up out there! This time of year we start to all go inside and increase those electric bills! We always appreciate any input our Homeowners have to better the community so please feel free to send it our way. Here are a few updates for you…
The Pump House is still in the permuting process with the City of Tempe. We have the plan submitted and are working out a few final details to get our final approval before building will commence. This has been a work in progress, but should allow for proper private storage of small community items for the lake maintenance. We will keep you posted with any further details.
The last section of the East wall that makes the line to the canal entrance will soon be getting a facelift. The builders of the Shutterfly building that will be going up in the adjacent dirt lot will be removing the current wall, putting in stronger footing, and making the wall a bit higher for community privacy. The Oasis community will be salvaging some of the current block that can possibly be re-used within the community for other small repair jobs that wouldn’t then have to be color matched or sized when doing the repairs. This project is anticipated to happen June/July of this year.
We understand this can be a “hot issue” for some, especially those who live on the East side of the community but it has been nice to see the Discovery building team putting in a lot of plants and trees to make the area look nice and provide some privacy to our community. We continue to work with them to make the outcome be as beneficial as possible for both parties.
This fountain is currently being repaired and is off. We are aware of the issue and taking action with our normal channels to get it back up and running.
All in all the community is still doing well, looking clean, and running pretty smooth. We continue to handle any needs possible to allow all of us as Homeowners to have the benefit of higher re-sale values and a quality community to live in. As always, I would like to thank the Board of Directors for their hard work and dedication to make sure we all benefit as a community.
Thanks,
Jake
Did you know that if you left your job after the age of 55, but you were still under 59.5 years old you may be eligible for a withdrawal from your 401(k) without an IRS tax penalty on the withdrawal amount. This could be useful if you had an immediate money need or wanted re-appropriate some funds into a different tax category at an earlier age. This would have to be done properly so consult a trusted CPA or tax professional that specializes in Retirement Taxation before making any moves. What gives you peace of mind going into retirement?
