Seasons greetings to the beautiful community that is The Oasis!  The weather is starting to get colder and the landscape is looking colorful!  The Oasis Board has done its annual walkthrough of the community and has taken some notes of things to work on for this upcoming year.  Overall, things are looking clean and well kept.  Some areas of focus will be…

• Adding a few more trees around the lake to fill in some gaps from fallen trees
• Expand the pump house by Anozira Pkwy & Oasis Dr to allow a bit more storage space and functionality for the neighborhood
• Continue to add gravel throughout the neighborhood in the areas that are becoming scarce
• Continue to monitor irrigation and landscapes to maintain efficiency and not cause damage
• Repair some block wall fencing in areas that have been impacted by trees or water damage
• Add and cement in another Pet Waste station by the McClintock entrance benches

Community Updates

Some of you may have heard that we had some recent events in the neighborhood that brought some police activity.  In mid November a rental house by the entrance off McClintock had a domestic disturbance that resulted in a gun shot to the leg.  This incident was definitely not a norm for The Oasis but it did happen and the authorities took action and resolved the matter at hand taking into custody the involved party.  This issue has been resolved.

Most recently on December 7th a man wondered into the neighborhood through the canal entrance and appeared to not be well.  He ended up passing out on the sidewalk and one of our own residents had followed him and called 911 to come and assist him.  The EMT provided medical attention and took the man away.  The police later stated that the man was not a resident of the community and bystanders witnessed what appeared to be an alcohol bottle next to the man.  This issue has been resolved.

In walking around the community we have noticed a sign for a missing cat as well as a found iPhone that indicates to just call your phone if you lost one and it will be returned to you.  Also, there seems to be an increased amount of dog waste spotted around the lake and community.  Please remember to pick up after your pets.

Final Thoughts
