Gates, Gates, Gates!

Oasis Residents,

We had a very productive and what seemed to be well received annual meeting in September.  We continue to push toward our goal of improving neighborhood efficiencies and better databasing of the routines that need to be done within the community.  This will still take some time.  Thank you to those that have been utilizing the website and sending in your comments/suggestions as they arise.  The information that is sent in is usually brought the the next HOA Board meeting for discussion unless it is something very urgent.  Temperatures are finally cooling down a bit and we have had record amounts of rain and debris this year.  The lake will take a bit more time to recover due to the amount of runoff water it has received.   We hope you all have a safe Fall and enjoy this beautiful weather that we can look forward to!

Gates, Gates, Gates (ACTION REQUIRED) (CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP)

As the community surpasses its 20 year mark we are all aware that things start to deteriorate.  If you haven’t already taken the steps as a homeowner in evaluating your gate that leads to your backyard it might be time.  The board has been working on being proactive and working on a larger scale to benefit the residents as a whole with better pricing on improvements/repairs.  We are currently working with a gate company that will build top quality (better than the Home Depot/Lowe’s brands) gates for our residents.  These gates would normally cost around $425 but if we can get enough owners interested in replacing their gates we can get a bulk pricing discount down to $300 which includes removal/disposal of your old gate.  In order for this to work we need 20+ owners interested in replacing their gates so it will last another 20 years.  If you are interested in replacing your gate please sign up here and we will keep track of the names to see if we can get 20 or more owners.  This is a great way to keep our homes looking new and maximize savings while keeping consistency throughout the neighborhood.

Mosquitos

With rainfall typically comes an increase in mosquitos.  Mosquitos need stagnant water to grow and develop so after these recent rains we urge you to walk around your house, empty any buckets, troughs, pales, shelves, etc that may have standing water.  This will help a great deal in reducing the mosquito population throughout the community.

Garage Sale

The neighborhood garage sale is going to be advertised for November 8, 2014.  If you are interested in participating we will have the signs at the entrance of the neighborhood to attract outsiders in for the day.  You do not need to notify the HOA if you are interested, it is simply something that is done to allow residents to attract a larger market for the day.  Please make sure that if you put up any additional directional signs that they are removed by the end of the day as to not be littering our streets.

Discovery Park (Night Pours)

Due to the rainfalls and excess water, Discovery’s project to build the Shutterfly building has been slightly delayed but that means good news for us.  Since temperatures have now reduced they have less need for the night concrete pours they were planning.  They originally needed up to 15 nights and now should be down to around 5.  For this week there is a planned night pour on Wednesday the 15th & Thursday the 16th.  Next week has planned for Thursday the 23rd.  Please be advised that you may hear some disturbance for those nights as the work commences on the new building.

Final Thoughts

There are always a lot of items on our agenda to keep the proactive approach in running this community.  We take all requests seriously and will do our best to make quick, and actionable decisions that benefit the community at large.  The Board appreciates our residents and we look forward to many more years to come!

Thanks,

Jake Ulrich

I signed up for the gate but we would like to see a picture of the replacement gate before we commit.

This is just to get an idea of who might be interested. Before any commitments are made we would have a sample, final pricing, etc. Thanks for your interest and encourage your neighbors!
